Throw away those razors ladies! New breakthroughs in the research of reducing armpit hair! Weird, huh? I’ll say! Why would a woman want to reduce the hair in their armpits?
I used to find women with hairy armpits attractive… in fact, I graduated from Northwestern High School outside of Washington, D.C. where a lot of girls I hung out with were European diplomats. There was Christina and Hanna from Poland, and Svetlana from Russia. They had hairy armpits and hairy legs, mostly blond though!
Anyhow, the study was conducted on women with hirsutism, a symptom of an underlying medical condition that causes hair to grow on their faces, breasts and stomachs caused by abnormally high levels of the androgen, a masculinising hormone.
The study, carried out at the Suleyman Demirel University in Turkey shows that “spearmint could be a good natural alternative” for women who have mild cases of hirsutism, in place of current therapies such as taking oral contraceptives or spironolactone to reduce the bodies production and/or response to androgen.
There it is ladies… replace those costly razors or wax treatments with a daily cup of spearmint tea, or just let the hair grow… let it grow… let it grow!
